Sarasota’s arts scene is second to none. Whether you prefer comedy, tragedy or
something in between, tickets for plays, dinner theater and even stand-up
comedians could have you booked solid virtually every day of the year. Florida
Studio Theatre, the Banyan Theater Company, McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre, the Golden
Apple Dinner Theatre and many other performing arts venues and troupes have your
drama needs covered.
But theater is not the only note in town. The area’s
professional music organizations, including the Sarasota Opera, the Jazz Club
and the newly renamed Sarasota Orchestra, will have you tapping your toes from
prelude to encore.
And there’s no reason you have to stay in your seat.
