“In the Pink” was the theme for the 27^th annual Orchid Ball at Selby Gardens, but the hundreds of guests attending also found themselves in a downpour as they headed for their cars later in the evening. No matter; the worst of the rain came after partiers had already welcomed honored guest Adrienne Vittadini, indulged in a New York-themed menu from Michael’s on East, bid on auction items including a black Tahitian pearl lariat with an orchid enhancer and danced their hearts out to Mainstream.
