These groups offer help and support in many different ways, from educating our children and enriching us culturally to improving the quality of life for those who are financially, physically or mentally disadvantaged.
Some of our charities are nationally acclaimed, while others perform their heroic feats far from the limelight. Most have small but incredibly dedicated staffs, and nearly all count on volunteers to help them fulfill their noble missions. Many also add to the social life of our community through special events that raise funds-and fun-for their causes.
