Fashion Statement

Brandy Solomon and Dylonn Cole Spotted at the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival opening night party at Burns Court.

Megan McDonald

What are you wearing? Brandy: A DKNY top and jeans, and strappy sandals. Dylonn: I’m wearing a mixture of H&M, Theory, Zara and Aldo.

Where do you like to shop? Brandy: Express, and I also like to go to International Plaza in Tampa; the Louis Vuitton store there is a favorite. Dylonn: As far as local boutiques, I shop at Stitch the most, and I normally accessorize through Aldo. I also go to Nordstrom in Tampa; that’s where my pants and belt are from.

What’s your style aesthetic? Brandy: Jeans are a signature piece for me—I like to take them and dress them up. But I don’t really go for one particular look; it’s more of a feel. I like stuff that makes me feel good. Style, like fashion, is ever-changing. Dylonn: I dress according to my mood; [tonight] I was in the mood for a Euro-modern look. Other times I’ll wear a vintage T-shirt and torn jeans.

What wouldn’t you be caught dead in? Brandy: Really bad jeans—no mom jeans! Dylonn: Jean shorts. Other than that, I’m pretty versatile.

What are your favorite hair and skincare products? Brandy: I go to D. Cole Hair Design, so I like everything he uses! And as far as make-up, Mac is a favorite. Dylonn: For hair, I’m currently using Alfaparf, and Physiodermie is my all-time favorite for skincare.

What are you looking forward to wearing this fall? Brandy: Warm things, like fuzzy sweaters. Dylonn: Thin sweaters and jackets. I love layering, even though you have to layer thin fabrics here.
